ITMS Appointed for World Baseball Classic

ITMS Sports has been entrusted with the marketing and media relations for the World Baseball...

ITMS Sports has been entrusted with the marketing and media relations for the World Baseball Classic (WBC), the most prestigious international baseball tournament. The event, created by Major League Baseball (MLB), the Major League Baseball Players Association (MLBPA), and other professional baseball leagues and their players associations around the world, is sanctioned by the International Baseball Federation (IBAF) as a the sport’s official World Cup. The WBC is played every four years with the tournament’s third installment scheduled to start in Germany for the first time, from September 20-24.
German-based ITMS Sports will handle sponsorship procurement, media and press activities and negotiate the broadcast rights for the WBC in the market. Having a long-standing relationship with the German-American agency, MLB has relied on the agency’s expertise to represent the league and its teams since 1997. During this time, the focus in Germany has been primarily to market MLB and its individual team brands while sparking interest for the sport with Germany’s youth. “We are very happy for the long-term and continued cooperation with Major League Baseball and pleased that the league has entrusted us with this task. We see the WBC as a great opportunity for corporate sponsors in Germany to associate themselves with a premier sporting event that has global appeal,” comments George S. Pascal, President of ITMS Sports.
With the World Baseball Classic, MLB brings baseball’s top stars to Germany including numerous professional players active in Major League and Minor League teams as well as professional players from around the world. Clive Russell, Managing Director of EMEA MLB International reinforces, “Establishing this tournament in Europe has long been one of the most important steps in the development of baseball as a global sport.”
In September, Germany, the UK, Canada and the Czech Republic will gather in Regensburg to battle for a place in the final round. Michael Hartmann, president of the German Baseball and Softball Federation (DBV) and a member of the German Federal Parliament adds, “The WBC is the most important tournament for baseball on an international scale since the elimination of baseball from the Olympics and brings together baseball’s most elite players.”
The World Baseball Classic presents an attractive opportunity for European fans to witness the most competitive baseball from around the globe. Germany will host one of the four pools of the new Qualifiers for the 2013 World Baseball Classic. The other venues that have been selected to host a Qualifying Pool are: Florida, Panama, and Taiwan. The winners of each Qualifying Pool will advance to compete in the 2013 World Baseball Classic tournament next March. In 2013, the world champion will be determined from WBC’s second- and final-round pools played in the United States, Central America and Asia and will be aired on television in more than 229 countries. Most of the games played in Germany will be broadcast in the US, Canada and on German television. The TV rights for Germany are currently under negotiation and due to be announced in May. During the competition in 2009, over 800,000 spectators viewed the games live in stadiums across the globe.

ITMS to organize seventh Bridal World 2012 in Bad Nauheim

After having developed the event into one of the most significant wedding shows in the state of Hesse, ITMS Marketing returns in 2012 as the principal host and organizer of the seventh annual event, now renamed and rebranded as the “Bridal World”. The agency takes over the reins together with the Dolce Hotel to kick off 2012 in style with what promises to be an unforgettable event and season highlight.
This year, stylists and creative heads are presenting the show in an entirely new look: bold colors, young, trendy impulses and an up-beat, contemporary show layout are designed to appeal to visitors of all ages, animating exhibitors to reflect this fresh new approach in their own presentations. More than 40 participating vendors, representing over 20 specialty branches catering to the “happiest day”, have already signed up for Bridal World 2012, taking place January 7-8 at Hotel Dolce in Bad Nauheim, Germany.
"Anyone who has ever experienced the planning of a wedding knows how difficult it is to find just the right specialists – those with the know-how to transform creative visions and wishes truly into ‘dreams come true’”, expounds Carolin Pascal of ITMS. “At Bridal World 2012, exhibitors introducing products and services from over 20 relevant industries guarantee bridal couples the right selections and right addresses”, she promises.
Of course, elaborate fashion shows are the order of both days – with sumptuous creations in satin, silk and lace for the brides-to-be and their ladies in waiting, and dashing attire for the grooms, best men and ushers. Moreover, visitors can expect hairstyle and cosmetics demonstrations as well as other informative and entertaining stage programs enhancing the wedding theme. Certainly a new highlight at this year’s Bridal World is the opportunity for visitors to buy the items fancied directly at the show; a definite advantage for vendors wishing to offer their wares and an attractive added service for the brides and grooms to be.

On 30 November, it was "ready for take-off" at Frankfurt International Airport for the lucky winners of Velo Saddles’ Senso Wildlife campaign: ITMS Marketing saw the two participating Velo-dealers, one enthusiastic Senso customer, the trio’s three travelling companions as well as cyclist and reporter Jens Kockerbeck of aktivRadfahren Magazine on their way to seven action-filled days of adventure in surprising South Africa.
Developed by ITMS Marketing to promote Senso, Velo’s top-shelf aftermarket saddle brand, the "Senso Wildlife campaign" has made headlines throughout the 2011 season in the bicycle trade press, heightening awareness not only of Velo’s newest saddle brand, but also calling attention to the plight of some of the world’s most beautiful wildlife – South Africa’s unique natural treasures. With their partners South African Tourism, South African Airways, Panthera and aktivRadfahren Magazine, the agency has acquired unparalleled support; not only contributing to the campaign’s success from the marketing side, but also for its sustainable effect on the environment.
Staged Germany-wide, the campaign has taken an active step in the protection of the world’s wildlife, contributing a direct portion of the proceeds from the sale of Senso saddles to the wild cat protection organization Panthera. To achieve the highest possible attention to Velo’s efforts, the Bad Nauheim agency designed an attractive prize drawing for both dealers and consumers alike.
Accompanied by their personal South African guide, the group is enjoying seven spectacular days of nature close up and an insight into Panthera’s work, including photo safaris, breathtaking sightseeing and unforgettable moments of South African hospitality.
